Keeping track of wound supply orders.

Supply arrangements can involve your clinician, a visiting agency and a separate supplier. Knowing who handles each step gives you somewhere to turn when an order is unclear.

Clarify the ordering process

Ask which supplies are part of your care plan, who places orders, and whether you need to do anything.
Record the supplier’s contact information and ask whom to notify when the prescribed supplies change.

Keep delivery details together

Keep order dates, expected delivery information and reference numbers in one place.
If receiving packages is difficult, tell the supplier and ask what arrangements are available.

Report a gap clearly

If an item is missing, different from what you expected or running low, tell the supplier and the treating team.
Ask the clinician about a supply gap or unfamiliar product rather than choosing a substitute yourself.
